Pacific golden plover (Pluvialis fulva). Pastel. 11 x 15 inches. Framed with a single mat and glass.

Shore (11 x 15 inches)

  • Schmincke soft pastels and Faber Castell PITT pastel pencils on Mi Teintes TEX paper. Framed behind glass with a single mat.

This little plover was uniquely shy and unusual in its behaviour on the mud-flats int he little coastal town of Yamba, NSW. It would run a little way, stand on one leg, forage in the sandy mud, then run again!
